After four successful seasons, Netflix announced last year that it would be continuing its Original series Grace and Frankie into a fifth season. For fans of Grace and Frankie, the long wait is now almost over.
Season 4 of the series received the highest audience numbers to date. Season four’s final episode received rave reviews, something that guaranteed a fifth series.
Confirmation of Grace and Frankie season 5 was announced by Netflix in November of last year.
Season 5 Cast and Crew
While Netflix has managed to stay incredibly tight lipped about what will happen in season 5, we do know that all of the cast will be returning.
Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will be back as Grace and Frankie, a pair of elderly women who are still trying to rebuild their lives after their husbands ran off with each other. Co-stars Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, and Brooklyn Decker have all confirmed their participation.
It is certain that there will be a few high profile cameos after the success of former Friends star Lisa Kudrow’s one in season 4. Meagen Fay, Jackson Pace, and Ginger Gonzaga are expected to appear in numerous episodes of season 5. It is not yet known if Lisa Kudrow will return this season.
This outing will feature three new directors, John Hoffman, Kyra Sedgwick, and of Shameless fame, director Silver Tree.
