There are pros and cons to being a veteran Kodi user. One benefit is that you may have heard of or even operated Ares Wizard. The downside is that you are no longer allowed to use Ares Wizard due to it being taken off of the market as a result of legal reasons. But there’s good news to be had. Ares Wizard has returned! Whether it’s due to popular demand or pure luck we cannot say. But what we can say and do is teach you the ins and outs of how to get this nifty little program installed for the latest builds of Kodi.

Before we jump into any further details or instructions, we wanted to let you know right off the bat that this new Ares Wizard update does not contain any entertainment additions. This new build only supports optimization and maintenance stabilization. It is downloaded in order to maintain the stability of the Kodi software. It may not give you any television or film selections but nevertheless, it’s very much an important part of the process to install onto Kodi.

It has even been said that this download helps Kodi with getting rid of loading or buffering issues. It even allows you to save your Kodi data should you choose to reset and reload Kodi onto an Amazon Fire Stick and any other similar devices.

Installation Instructions for Ares Wizard on Kodi 18.1/18.2 Leia and 17.6 Krypton

After reading about why Ares Wizard is such a significant add-on to your overall Kodi experience, now you can read the following instructions to install Ares Wizard on your system.

Take note that these instructions work for the Fire TV Stick and personal computers using Windows or Mac operating software.

Step 1: Activate and turn on Kodi on the device of your choice

Step 2: Go to Settings. This is located on the left of the screen on top. The icon resembles a cog or gear

Step 3: Select System (for Kodi 18.x) or System Settings (for Kodi 17.6) which will appear in the subsequent list of options that pops up on the next page

Step 4: Select Add-ons and enable Unknown sources

Step 5: Return to the Settings page and select File manager

Step 6: Now pick Add source

Step 7: choose None underneath the phrase Enter the paths or browser for the media locations

Step 9: In the field titled Enter a name for this media source section, enter in any name you wish. This step is not particularly important as what you enter in does not affect the rest of the steps. It simply needs to be remembered for a later step. Enter in something simple like AresWiz which is what I will refer to for later on

Step 10: Return to the main homepage of your Kodi software. Now select Add-ons which can be found from the menu on the left hand side at the bottom

Step 11: Click on the Folders icon in the top left, it resembles an opened up cardboard box

Step 12: From the new menu that pops up, select Install from .zip file

Step 13: A new menu will arise. Click on AresWiz or whatever you happened to name the file previously.  This menu is in alphabetical order which will explain and determine where it shows up.

Step 14: Click Repos, then select the file that pops up in the next menu. It should have a name like script.areswizard-0.0.69.zip and then press OK

Step 15: You have now begun downloading Ares Wizard. Simply wait as the download finishes and the automatic installation process will begin. You will receive a completion notification in the top right of your screen once it is done.

Step 16: Return to the Kodi homepage screen one last time. Open up the Ares Wizard program by going to Add-ons, then Program add-ons and finally Ares Wizard.
